FAQs
Key information about my practice and approach.
-
I provide counseling for individuals and couples as well as running a support group for women considering or going through a divorce. As a relational therapist, I view strong connections as a primary source of emotional health. Like many therapists, I draw on various approaches, including parts work, a strengths-based view, and a person's identity and cultural contexts. Some of my specialties include grief/loss, life transitions, living with/partnering with ADHD, and trauma.
-
My typical practice is weekly 55-minute sessions. I've learned through time that meeting weekly is more impactful than biweekly or monthly. Sometimes it may make sense to increase or decrease our frequency of sessions.
-
I split my time between my office in Arlington and tele-health sessions.
-
My current rate is $175 per session for individuals and couples. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. However, some insurance plans provide whole or partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to ask about your "out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits" to understand what your specific plan covers. You also can use HSA/FSA benefits to cover therapy.
-
We start with a free 20-minute consultation about what you are seeking and to answer your questions. Our first couple of sessions are a chance for you to share more and to determine if this is a good match for both of us.

I am a clinical social worker and received my degree at Columbia University in New York. From there I went on to a fellowship at Harvard University's counseling center. I've worked at several colleges and universities and also have significant experience serving inpatient psychiatric patients. I pursue continuing education to be a better ally for people of different races, cultures, and expressions of gender and sexuality.

Therapy is a collaborative and evolving process. Sessions are shaped by your goals and experiences and may include reflection, curiosity, and conversations about patterns in your relationships and inner world. I aim to offer a thoughtful, supportive space where you can explore what’s coming up for you at a pace that feels right.

You don’t need to be in a crisis to begin therapy. Many people seek support when they feel a general sense of being "stuck," a desire for deeper self-understanding, or a need for a safe space to navigate a life transition. If you feel a curiosity about your own patterns or a longing for more freedom in your life, it is a good time to start.
